Mr. Carter goes to Syria

As Jimmy Carter becomes more and more irrelevant, the more outlandish his behavior becomes. First he wrote a terrible book about Israel called "Peace, not Apartheid", which was poorly sourced and had little basis in truth. Now in his upcoming tour of the Middle East he plans to sit down with the heads of Hamas. Carter should be criticized from all sides for this morally reprehensible action. These people are terrorists with the blood of hundreds of innocents on their hands. This visit will give them a propaganda opportunity to legitimize their actions. I mean if Jimmy Carter will talk to them how bad can they be? Or maybe talking to Jimmy Carter makes them look desperate? His actions not only go against the mantra to never talk to terrorists, it also goes against Bush's foreign policy. This is simply unacceptable. A former president shouldn't directly go against a current president's policy. You had one term Jimmy, and now your supposed to let others run the show, that's how democracy works. Can one imagine the reaction if George Bush starts mucking around in foreign policy after he leaves office. The response would be huge, and so to should this be the reaction to Carter's trip. Israel should ostracize him (which they've started to do), and people should have second thoughts associating with him. I say that Jimmy should stick with something he's good at, such as peanut farming, or bringing back Billy beer.
